The technical mentoring program is six months of unlimited access to
me by e-mail, phone, fax, regular mail, etc. We can meet in person,
as well, if convenient for both of us. I help people strategically
(how to benefit from Internet technology, how to obtain higher
utilization from existing technology investments, how to approach
enterprise-scale projects in fortune 500 organizations, etc.), and
tactically (what to say at the meeting tomorrow, critiquing
proposals, reviewing designs and models, etc.).
Typical participant
profile:
- Technical consultants, small investors building
an online business, technical professionals seeking to
transition to independent consulting, established consultants
and professionals and small business owners wishing to build a
web presence and/or use technology more effectively.
- Need for independent, objective coaching on
technology-related business issues to enhance competence,
performance, and/or image.
- Accepts feedback well, willing to change
behavior and/or think about issues in a new context.
- Results-oriented and pragmatic.
- Requires assistance with specific issues and/or
with new learning strategies, or needs a sounding board to
ensure validity of current assumptions and approaches.
- Needs absolutely confidential help at key
times, and requires fast response with options for action.
Program specifics
- The fee is $3,500, which separates out those
who are serious about their business, and is easily recouped
through more effective use of technology, rapid achievement of
career goals, greater utilization of existing technology and
higher fees. Admission is limited. If there are no openings
there is a "first come, first served" waiting list.
There is another version of the program that provides for a once
a month personal meeting to ensure progress against specific
business objectives. The fee for that version is $7,500. Because
of the advantageous fee, all fees are non-refundable for any
reason. There are no exceptions.
- You and I reach a mutual decision as to whether
the program is right for you. If it is, we begin with my
studying your business objectives, your core competencies, and
your goals. We then establish our mentoring goals. Some people
call me daily, some weekly, some monthly. The frequency and
style are up to you. I return all phone calls within 90 minutes,
and all written correspondence within 24 hours. The fee is
required to begin the process or to claim a place on the waiting
list. The fee may be paid in installments, but the process
doesn't begin until payment is complete. You may call a
"time out" at any point, at which time we stop the
calendar until you're ready to begin again.
- There is a free monthly newsletter which
contains the best of my thinking on technology innovation, new
learning strategies and technology utilization which is sent
continually to participants and graduates.
- The process is available to small firms for
$7,500 and $10,000, respectively. Call if you're interested.
